The 8 String Baritone is at the Top of the Range in the Solid Cedar Top line.  It is as close sounding to a 12-string guitar as you can get.  Lush, full, jangly, it sounds so sweet and so big.

Please Note:  The tuning of the Kala 8 String Baritones is DD GG BB EE and not the GCEA of smaller Tenor/Concert/Soprano Ukuleles.  It is designed to be tuned to Baritone tuning, and if the 8 strings are tuned to the much higher GCEA tuning, this will subject the top and Bridge to tensions and stresses that it is not designed for.  So a word of warning that tuning to GG CC EE AA will void your warranty in Australia, and most likely make the bridge come off.
